Introducing our new 18YO
We’re happy to reveal that we’ve added a new aged expression to our Signature Range with the launch of our 18 Year Old Single Malt.
The new expression, which was distilled in 2005, has been aged in a combination of first-fill bourbon and sherry casks and is bottled at 43% ABV.
Mike Elliott, GM at Tullibardine Distillery, said, ‘We’re very excited to be able to launch another aged expression into our core range. We see this, alongside the 15YO, as a graduation from the rest of our Signature Range in terms of complexity and flavour profile and we can’t wait for people to try it!’
The distinctive packaging, which also forms the new 15YO redesign, reflects a new era at the distillery with a focus on craft and the people that create it. The cartons are illustrated by Scottish artist Bryan Angus, depicting scenes and features of the distillery itself. The cartons are also fully recyclable, made from recycled paper and can be recycled in their entirety.
The taste profile reveals warm spices and delicate aromas of dried fruit, caramel and vanilla, and reflects the outstanding quality and craftsmanship of Tullibardine’s whiskies.
18YO Tasting notes
Nose:
Characteristic Tullibardine bourbon notes of vanilla, caramel, cream soda, sweet nectar, and oak intertwine with layers of dried fruit and warming spice.
Palate:
Balancing the indulgent nose, there’s more spices to be found of nutmeg, cinnamon and candied ginger cushioned with a hint of brown sugar.
Finish:
Spice on the palate mellows, the finish is smooth and buttery.
