Following the success of our previous three Distillery Editions, we can now announce our fourth in the series is available online for the first-time ever as well as at the distillery.
Handpicked by Distillery Manager, David Myles, this Oloroso cask (no. 150015) is bottled at 53.2% ABV and limited to just 405 bottles.
David has worked at the distillery for 17 years and can uniquely say that he mashed, distilled and filled the spirit that he selected from 2005 to create this expression. He picked a cask that he’d had an eye on over the years due to its ‘rich, honeyed fruits with hints of sweet vanilla, citrus and baked apples.’ And adds that it’s ‘Perfect with a bar of chocolate’.
We launched our Distillery Edition exclusive bottlings in 2020 to offer visitors something a bit special when they made the journey to the distillery. So far, the first three editions have sold out and have been highly sought after. Each single cask in the series is picked by a team member, starting with the longest serving employees we’ve included their tasting notes on the bottle labels.
To give fans who can’t make it to the distillery the chance to try this very limited expression, we’re releasing a small number of bottles onto the website on Friday 6th May at 10am. So if you fancy getting your hands on a bottle, you’d best be quick!
